Dennis Smith

As General Manager of OneWater Yacht Group for the South Atlantic region, I oversee operations from Virginia Beach to Daytona, Florida, bringing over 30 years of experience helping clients achieve their yachting goals. My career began in 1994, and just two years later, I co-founded Cape Fear Yacht Sales before joining Grande Yachts International in 2013, now part of OneWater Yacht Group.

Born in Brooklyn and raised between the Jersey Shore and summers on Lake Hampstead, New Hampshire, my lifelong passion for boating and water sports naturally led me into the marine industry. Over the years, I’ve combined that passion with a focus on leadership, team development, and delivering exceptional client experiences across a growing market.

Today, I continue to expand OneWater Yacht Group’s presence throughout the Carolinas, Coastal Georgia, and Florida, supporting clients not only in purchasing the right yacht but also in fully enjoying ownership through ongoing service and support. Based in Wilmington, North Carolina, I frequently travel throughout the region, staying closely connected to both our teams and clients.

Outside of work, my greatest enjoyment comes from spending time on the water with my daughters, Caroline and Avery, sharing the same experiences that first inspired my career in yachting.
