Umut Apaydin

Born into a family deeply connected to the sea, Umut naturally found his path in the world of yachting. Raised between Turkey, Ethiopia, Belgium, and Germany, he developed an early connection to the water, spending his summers windsurfing, spearfishing, and sailing. A certified diver, free diver and skipper, Umut is an avid outdoorsman with a deep passion for the ocean. His personal boating experience extends across the Mediterranean—including Greece, Turkey, Italy, and France—as well as South Florida, the Florida Keys and the Bahamas. Prior to entering yacht brokerage, Umut built a career in investment banking and insurance, where he gained extensive experience structuring and negotiating complex transactions. Today, he brings that same level of precision and professionalism to every client engagement at OneWater Yacht Group, a leading full-service yacht brokerage group. A global citizen at heart, Umut speaks six languages fluently (English, Italian, French, German, Spanish and Turkish) and is an avid traveler. When he’s not on the water, he enjoys playing the piano and reading history and archaeology.
