Launching in 2023
The all-new Ocean 182 has arrived. Following the ever-popular 90 Ocean, this latest addition to the Ocean family of Sunseeker yachts offers something completely novel in the Sunseeker range. A significant interior volume transforms this yacht into something entirely new, appealing to an altogether different type of owner.
An enclosed flybridge offers increased air-conditioned interior comfort, suitable for extreme hot or cold climates or for those seeking greater privacy. The helm station, typically positioned on the main deck, has moved to a single helm on the flybridge, creating a luxurious open plan main deck saloon with multiple seating arrangements, rivalling those found on-board a superyacht. The galley, now positioned forward and accompanied by a spacious dining area, delivers incredible space and storage whether for owner use, or for discreet use by the crew with dedicated side deck access.
Powered by Twin MAN V12 1650 or 1900 engines, she achieves a comfortable top speed of 27 knots. Meanwhile, at a displacement speed of 12 knots, she has an extended range of 1,800 nautical miles.
The notable design change to the Ocean 182 is the unique shape of the enclosed flybridge. The newly contoured exterior on the upper deck, made almost entirely of glazing, offers panoramic views from the helm station. Even more light and ventilation comes courtesy of the tilting vain sunroof across the entire width of the flybridge, opening effortlessly at the flick of a switch.
To the lower decks, a vast expanse of glazing invites natural daylight into the interior spaces whilst also creating a striking exterior profile, drawing the eye aft to the stern.
A generous Beach Club measures over 6m x 4m, complete with the innovative Sunseeker X-TEND™ sunbed system, can be used in its lowered position facing aft at sea level or raised to face forward into the aft cockpit, extending this already spacious seating area. Set beneath the raised garage door is a rain shower and inside, ample space for water toys, racking for towels or diving equipment. Two dedicated SeaBob lockers are set into the floor whilst tenders and jet skis can be stowed on the hydraulic platform.
The timeless interior is characterised by soft neutral tones and a luxurious mix of textured materials. The attention to detail is second-to-none. Every inch is finished to an immaculate standard with carefully considered recessed ambient mood lighting, stainless steel trim detailing and specially designed feature bulkheads.
Designed with usability and liveability in mind, the entire main deck is a dedicated space for socialising and entertaining. Owners can choose from contemporary loose furniture to fill the main saloon’s generous proportions; a popular choice being a large U-shaped sofa and accompanying chairs, or an additional L-shaped sofa and exquisite coffee table. The forward galley fully fitted with Miele appliances and a wine cooler if desired by the owner, provides a welcome space for entertaining around a large dining table for up to eight guests.
Drenched in natural light, the open-plan main deck is outfitted with floor to ceiling sliding doors to starboard and matching floor to ceiling windows on the port side, offering uninterrupted views from bow to stern. Such openness on the main deck uniquely connects the owner and guests to the marine environment whilst enjoying the comforts on offer inside.
A stunning feature stainless steel and timber staircase aft of the galley leads up to the generous enclosed flybridge. The star feature of this particular model being an additional dining table for up to eight guests, two sideboards to port and
starboard or two generous sofas depending on owner preference. This intimate social area, with incredible views to match, is serviced by a fully integrated bar with three stools. To the rear there is yet another open-air socialising area with freestanding furniture to make this space the owners own private sanctuary. Retractable sliding doors offer flexibility to the owner, with the option to fully enclose the flybridge deck forward, creating a third indoor living space, or left open to form an al-fresco balcony. The fluidity between outdoor and indoor living spaces is unmatched in this class.
Below deck, the light and elegant accommodation comprises three well-appointed double cabins and a twin, all with en-suite in a standard configuration. The full-beam master positioned amidships is an indulgent escape for the owners whilst the forward VIP provides an equally luxurious experience for guests.
Andrea Frabetti, CEO at Sunseeker International, commented: “We are delighted to bring yet another new model to market. The 90 Ocean Enclosed combines the beauty of elegant Sunseeker design and craftsmanship with practicality and liveability for owners. We have considered in meticulous detail this very special configuration, how it will be used and the exquisite materials required to elevate every single space. The scale of this yacht is frankly beyond compare, from an expansive open-plan main deck ideal for socialising to its fully-featured flybridge, this is one remarkable yacht.”
