  • The Caterpillar C12 is an inline, six-cylinder, four-stroke engine with a total piston displacement of 12 liters, or 732 cubic inches. Maximum horsepower output is 700 brake horsepower at 2,300 rpm while producing a maximum torque of 2,227 ft/lbs @ 1600 RPM. The aspiration system uses a turbocharged-aftercooled design.
